About Sliders’ Night Out 2018

Change in Format

The Sliders’ Night Out fundraising event in support of the nonprofit, 501(c)3 reining horse Foundation has a different format in 2018 than 2017. While successful on many levels, last year’s event created a significant pull on the Foundation and its ability to meet its core programs, which include:
It is Ticketed for 2018

All are invited, but the 2018 event does require paid admission. Individual tickets and a limited number of full table sponsorships remain available. Prices for these ticketed seats were decreased significantly from 2017, and reservations are running ahead of last year. This is a fundraiser.

Effort is Volunteer Led

The RHF Development Committee and the Board of Directors—made up of NRHA members from diverse backgrounds—have worked tirelessly to create an event that will be meaningful to all who attend while increasing attendance, raising awareness and generating funds essential to fulfill the mission of caring for the reining community and honoring the sport’s legacy. Even reiners who cannot attend are making donations to support the effort.

Involving Reiners Across the Spectrum

Attempts have been made to be inclusionary in many aspects of this event. Examples include: invitations to NRHA Hall of Fame members to attend as guests of RHF through the generosity of major donors and table hosts; a new Affiliate Ambassador program providing admission to more than 14 top hand volunteers and their guests from around the world; and a discount available to NRHA Professionals.

The Draw Parties and Exhibitor Party Continue in 2018

While the free viewing option is not available for Sliders’ Night Out 2018, there are many other aspects of the NRHA Futurity that remain available and open for free attendance. These include the Platinum Performance Exhibitor Party, scheduled for Saturday, November 24, and the Platinum Performance Open and CINCH Non Pro Draw Party, set for Thursday, November 29. In addition, introduction of the Open and CINCH Non Pro Finalists is set to occur during the $20,000 NRHA Invitational Freestyle Reining, November 29, during a ticketed event for the public.

Let’s See a Groundswell of Giving

Certainly greater numbers of NRHA members and reining enthusiasts can carry the work of the Foundation with less financial commitment, and every dollar can make an impact. There are great examples of reiners giving $5, 10, $25, $100 and more from reiners of all levels. However, the overall percentage of givers is small. If all give some, the prospects for greater impact are great. You are invited to text a donation today to (405) 300-5919 or give at: www.reiningfoundation.com

We Appreciate the Leaders

To make events like Sliders’ Night Out financially successful takes a commitment. We appreciate those who have stepped up in leadership positions as major donors and attendees. If this event is not the right size for you at this time, we hope it will become so meaningful that you will find a way to attend in the future.

Find the Power to Give

Reiners care. Our hope at RHF is that confidence and enthusiasm for the work of this organization will translate into greater philanthropy. There are many ways to give back. What is yours?
