The Reining Horse Foundation and NRHA mourn the passing of Jackie Donahue on October 7, 2025.
A lifelong horsewoman, Jackie Donahue’s passion for reining and the equestrian community shaped her life and friendships. From her early days showing in LaSalle County 4-H to her long-time involvement with the National Reining Horse Association, American Quarter Horse Association, and the Illinois Valley Horseman’s Association. She competed as an NRHA non pro and was active over many years as a breeder and owner. Jackie was known for her generosity, sportsmanship, and encouragement of others.

A memorial service was held October 14, 2025. In her honor, gifts may be made to the Reining Horse Foundation to continue supporting the sport and community. If mailing a check, put “In Memory of Jackie Donahue” in the memo section. Donate online via the RHF website.
